The City of Gainesville is planning to host an online Accela Citizen Access Portal training course in the coming weeks for contractors, tradesmen, engineers and architects.
The online portal will reportedly house applications and records required by Gainesville and Hall County to acquire development permits, commercial building permits, residential building permits and trade permits, according to city officials.
The new software is said to improve and streamline operations by moving the entire permitting process online, simplifying the applicant experience.
Training courses will focus on development permits, commercial building permits, residential permits and trade permits. Participants will learn how to apply through the Citizen Access Portal and upload documents.
Those interested can register online by clicking here, where participants will be asked to complete a short survey that will reportedly help the organizers further customize the training seminars.
Training events for the platform will be held in the second-floor Human Resources training room at the Hall County Government Center, located at 2875 Browns Bridge Road in Gainesville on the following dates, with Zoom link options available as well:
