Several Hall County Republican groups will join together Saturday to host a Meet the Candidates Forum ahead of the May 21 General Primary Elections.
14 candidates will speak at the event, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gainesville Civic Center on Green Street.
Those speaking and the seats they are running for are as follows:
- Jim Hammock, Hall County Sheriff
- Gerald Couch, Hall County Sheriff (I)
- Craig Lutz, Hall County Commission Chairman
- David Gibbs, Hall County Commission Chairman
- Chris Slate, Hall County Clerk of Court
- Mark Pettitt, Hall County Clerk of Court.
- Brian Heck, Hall County State Court Judge
- John "Tripp" Wingate, III, Hall County State Court Judge
- Michelle Hall, Superior Court Judge
- John Breakfield, Superior Court Judge
- Norine Cantor, GA State House District 30
- Derrick McCollum, GA State House District 30 (I)
- Drew Echols, GA State Senate District 49
- Josh Clark, GA State Senate District 49
The event is organized by the Hall County Republican Party, Republican Women of Hall, and the Hall County Young Republicans.
