GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The Gainesville boys golf team teed off Tuesday morning at 9:50 a.m. in hopes of a top-5 finish in the Class 6A state tournament at Chattahoochee Golf Club.
After Day 1's 318, the Red Elephants were 24 strokes behind leader Blessed Trinity, who turned in a Day 1 best 294. Roswell is in second place, five strokes behind BT.
Individually, Gainesville's Henry Kopydlowski shot a two-over 74. He's four strokes off the lead behind BT's Josh Durthaler and Lakeside Evans' Hamilton Coleman. Both turned in a 70.
