A three-vehicle wreck in Habersham County shut down Ga. 17 on and off for about an hour on Friday.

The near head-on collision occurred at around 11:40 a.m. between Sam Bell Road and Winding Stair Road outside of Clarkesville.

At first, the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office was directing traffic to keep one lane flowing, but the investigation and cleanup required both sides being fully closed until the vehicles were removed.

Habersham County Emergency Services obtained refusals from those involved, so no one was treated for any injuries.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the wreck.
