Road work is about to begin along a stretch of Gainesville's Mountain View Road later this week.
A press release from the City of Gainesville indicates that water main tie-in work is required at 2928 Mountain View Road on Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1. It will force a partial lane closure on the southbound side of Mountain View Road at the intersection of Old Oakwood Road between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., weather permitting.
Commuters should consider alternate routes during the ground work, and are asked to obey traffic detour signs in the work zone, and to expect delays during the midday hours.
