Fire crews worked Friday morning to rescue a worker who was stuck in a boom truck working at a billboard on the side of a highway in Sugar Hill.

Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services posted to social media that they were called to the scene around 8:30 a.m. The truck was parked at the end of Lanier Avenue with the man in the boom working on a billboard that was overlooking Ga. 20 near Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.

No details on how the man became trapped have been released, but officials said he was lowered to the ground safely and treated at the scene for minor injuries.

"We are thankful for the good outcome," fire officials said.
