HOMER, Ga. – After a lengthy delay to start the night due to weather, Banks County held on to the lead most of the game but fell late to Franklin County, 9-6.
Ashton Camp capped the Leopards' first drive of the night, a nine-play drive that ended with a 6-yard touchdown run to give Banks the 6-0 lead.
The lead held until late in the fourth quarter when the Lions forced a safety with three minutes to go to cut the lead to 6-2. Franklin County then drove down the field and scored with just under two minutes to go and held on to get the win.
Banks County rushed for 236 yards on the night.
The Leopards will play host to Dawson County next week.
