Big time matchups produced excellent games Friday night in Northeast Georgia.

Cherokee Bluff ran past North Hall in the newest Hall County rivalry, 38-13, while West Hall knocked off Chestatee on the road, 31-19. Gainesville's defense stole the show in a 41-7 win over Westlake.

Jefferson continued their offensive explosion in a 42-14 win over Clarke Central, while Jackson County bounced back after their loss last week at the hands of the Dragons with a 35-28 win over Dacula.

Lumpkin County won a back-and-forth affair at home to get their first win of the season with a 28-25 victory over Hart County, and Habersham Central held on to take down White County, 31-28.
