A Dawsonville woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Forsyth County Sunday night.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of Ga 400 and Jot ‘Em  Down Rd. at 9:30 p.m. An initial investigation revealed that a 2014 Toyota Rav 4 driven by Julie Waters Lamb, 72, of Dawsonville, was crossing Ga 400 when she was struck by a black 2019 Ford F-150.

The driver of the truck, Logan Moye, 30, of Dahlonega, was traveling North on Ga. 400 when the signal for the northbound lane turned red. Lamb obeyed the light and began to cross Ga 400 to continue west on Jot ‘Em Down Rd. Moye was reportedly driving at a speed that made it impossible to stop at the traffic light, causing him to strike Lamb’s vehicle.

Lamb was pronounced dead at the scene.

The case is still under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
