Basketball: 65th Lanierland Tournament schedule has been released

The details of the 65th Lanierland Tournament, scheduled for Dec. 19-21, have been released. 

The state's oldest Christmas tournament will be played at North Hall, East Hall and Gainesville. The first two days will be split between East Hall and North Hall, with games beginning at 4 p.m. each day. 

Day 3 will be held at Gainesville High School. Below is the schedule.

Thursday, December 19 (Day 1)
North Hall will host the lower half of the bracket, and East Hall will host the upper half. 

at North Hall
4 p.m. -- No. 3 Chestatee vs. No. 6 Flowery Branch Girls
5:30 p.m. -- No. 3 North Hall vs. No. 6 East Hall Boys
7 p.m. -- No. 2 North Hall vs. No. 7 East Hall Girls
8:30 p.m. -- No. 2 Gainesville vs. No. 7 Chestatee Boys

at East Hall
4 p.m. -- No. 4 Gainesville vs. No. 5 Cherokee Bluff Girls
5:30 p.m. -- No. 4 Flowery Branch vs. No. 5 Lakeview Boys
7 p.m. -- No. 1 Lakeview Girls vs. winner of No. 8 Johnson/ No. 9 West Hall
8:30 p.m. -- No. 1 Cherokee Bluff Boys vs. winner of No. 8 West Hall/No. 9Johnson

Friday, December 20 (Day 2)
The tournament made the decision to allow East Hall to play at East Hall on Friday regardless of Thursday's outcome. For example, if the East Hall boys win on Thursday, they would host the 3/6 vs 2/7 semifinal. In that case, the boys No. 1 vs. No 8 winner vs. No. 4 vs. No. 5 semifinal would be held at North Hall. 

North Hall and East Hall will each host a 4 p.m. girls, and 5:30 p.m. boys consolation bracket
North Hall and East Hall will each host a 7 p.m. girls, 8:30 p.m. boys semifinal bracket

Saturday, December 21 (Day 3)
-All games will be played at Gainesville
