As the Northeast Georgia area feels the effects of Tropical Storm Helene, county officials have shared where there are road closures and downed trees.
Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office reported in a Facebook post that several of it’s roadways have been cleared, with the following roads to reportedly still have download trees:

There were also reports of flooding on 5035 Settingdown Road and McGinnis Ferry and Union Hill. The Gwinnett County Police Department shared Friday morning that Indian Trail Road both directions between Cove Creek Circle and Oakbrook Parkway is shut down due to flooding in the roadway.
Habersham County Spokesman Rob Moore said early Friday morning that there were trees down in the following locations:

Meanwhile in White County, the Sheriff’s Office posted to Facebook a list of complete and partial road closures throughout the county:

Post Road is closed at its intersection with Steve Lewis Rd. WCSO advised Eastbound traffic should detour down Tom Teague Road or Allen Anderson Road.

The 2100 block of New Bridge Road is shut down due to power lines and downed trees.

A Downed tree at US 129S and Eagle Rock Rd. caused a partial road blockage.

Entire roadway blockage due to downed trees and power lines at Albert Reid and Howard Rd.

Ricky West Rd is closed from Mossy Acres Drive to New Bridge Road.

Paradise Valley Road approximately one mile away from US 129N is currently blocked due to two downed trees in the roadway.

The 300 block of Hamilton Rd is blocked due to downed trees and power lines in the roadway.
Additionally, the red light at the intersection of US 129N and Appalachian Parkway is out of service and pending power restoration as of last report.
Hall County Emergency Management Director Zach Brackett told AccessWDUN that while the impacts are not as severe as officials originally anticipated, there have still been concerns throughout the area.
“We have addressed over 104 roadway issues since Wednesday afternoon,” Brackett said. “We're still going to have some rain throughout the day, and we're actually still anticipating some 50 mile an hour wind gusts to be affecting our area through mid morning today. Our crews have been working throughout the night to get these issues cleared up, and they're still working in conjunction with the local utility providers to handle that.”
