Banks County officials continue to investigate what exactly triggered a house fire near the end of 2024.
A release from Banks County Fire Chief Steve Nichols' office says their Banks County Fire and Emergency Servics received a 911 call after 9:40 p.m. on December 29, 2024 for a structure fire at 183 Chambers Street in Homer. Upon arrival, units found a Single-Family structure with Fire showing from the building.
The structure was cleared for any occupants and extinguishment was made. The structure was listed as having Heavy damage and no injuries were reported.
Homer FD and Jackson County CI FD responded also. The incident was terminated just after midnight on December 30.
