Hall County's Fire Marshal's Office is investigating what triggered a devastating house fire in Flowery Branch Monday evening.

A press release from Hall County Fire Rescue spokesperson Kimberlie Ledsinger indicates that at around 7:00 p.m. Monday, Hall County Fire Rescue responded to the 4900 block of Old Orr Road for reports of a residential fire. Engine 5 arrived to see a single story residence that was about 75 percent engulfed in flames.

Ledisnger says crews began to attack the fire from the interior and exterior simultaneously, knocking the fire down as quickly as possible.  The home was vacant at the time, and the primary search was clear from an occupants.

The single family structure is considered a total loss, but no one was injured on scene and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
