JASPER, Ga. — The North Hall boys advanced to the semifinals of the Region 6-3A tournament on Wednesday at Pickens High School.
The fourth-seeded Trojans routed No. 5 seed Dawson County, 97-69, to stay alive and likely will face No. 1 seed Pickens in the semifinals on Friday.
North Hall had three players score 20 or more for the game, led by Micah Jimerson with 28 points. Gunner Spain poured in 26 points and Cole Hulsey had 22 for the Trojans.
It was the third win over the Tigers for North Hall (16-10) this season and the third straight win overall.
If they get top-seed Pickens, the Trojans will be looking for a better showing than the first two. The Dragons beat North Hall 103-40 and 85-43 during the regular season.
