The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Pendergrass man on child exploitation charges following the execution of a search warrant alongside the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The department said in a Facebook post Thursday Raul Alberto Flores, 23, was charged under Georgia’s Computer or Electronic Pornography and Child Exploitation Prevention Act, as well as Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.
"This arrest underscores our unwavering commitment to protecting our children from online exploitation," Sheriff Kevin B. McCook said in the post. "The successful operation was made possible through dedication and teamwork to bring justice to those who prey on the innocent."
The investigation was ongoing as of the last report. Authorities asked anyone with information in the case to contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Office at 706-367-8718.
