Two Barrow County residents were transported for non-life-threatening injuries after a residential structure fire Saturday morning.
The Barrow County Fire Department posted to Facebook Saturday afternoon that the two residents are being evaluated.
The incident happened in the area of State Route 211 and Windward Road near Winder according to a Barrow County official.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and more details will be released as information becomes available.
The Barrow County Fire Department took the incident to remind residents to make sure they have working smoke alarms in every bedroom and hallway and on every level of the home. They also said to test them monthly and create a home fire escape plan, with two ways out of the home.
