Nearly 3,000 students started the new school year in Jefferson Monday morning, making Jefferson the earliest system to open in the immediate Gainesville area.
The Hall County Board of Commissioners voted Thursday to lease undeveloped park property to the Town of Clermont after assurance from County Attorney Bill Blalock that the property is properly insured.
