G'ville B.O.E. gets good news on 2010 audit
The Gainesville School Board Monday night got the news it wanted from the state's audit supervisor...the $6.5-million deficit is gone.
Audit Supervisor Tommy Harp had a positive end to his FY 2010 audit report and board members were grateful.

Fair Street students,teachers gather for memories
It was farewell Sunday to the Fair Street Elementary School that Gainesville students and teachers have known for 74 years. Those former students and teachers celebrated with grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, handshakes, hugs, prayers, and a lot of memories.

Flowery branch water and sewer rates up 'slightly'
Flowery Branch City Council Thursday night adopted slightly increased water and sewer rates. City Manager Bill Andrew said rates were adjusted to keep up with increasing operation costs.
