Basketball players from Hall county continue to make their marks in the collegiate ranks.<br>

West Hall grad April Martin scored 23 points to lead the State University of West Georgia women (10-3, 2-1 in the Gulf South) to a 62-50 win over Valdosta State Tuesday night. Martin shot 6-for-9 from the floor, and 8-of-nine from the free throw line. She hit on 3-of-5 three pointers.<br>

Martin is a 5'7" junior for the Braves.<br>

The latest NAIA rankings are out, and North Georgia College and State University (15-1) moved up a spot to number five in the national poll. North Hall alum Courtney Hester is the leading scorer for the Lady Saints.
