LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Arkansas running back Cedric Cobbs was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, speeding and marijuana possession.
He also was charged Tuesday night with having no insurance and not using his seat belt.

The player was released on his own recognizance Wednesday, Pulaski County Sheriff's Deputy Rochorn Thompson said. Wednesday was Cobbs' 21st birthday.
Cobbs was stopped for speeding at about 11:40 p.m., going 73 mph in a 60 mph zone, Arkansas State Police reported. Riding in Cobbs' car were Julius Harris and Anthony Dewayne Johnson, police said. They were not charged.
University athletic officials had no immediate comment.

Two years ago, Cobbs starred for Arkansas in a 27-6 victory over Texas in the Cotton Bowl. He spent most of this year's Cotton Bowl on the sideline because of a bad back.

After Arkansas' 10-3 loss to Oklahoma, Cobbs said he would remain in school rather than enter the NFL draft.
