GAINESVILLE - Expect delays starting Tuesday on Poplar Springs Road in the South Hall area as the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) begins a resurfacing project.
The work will take place, weather permitting, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day and should be finished by next Friday, according to GDOT District Engineer Larry Dent. One lane will be closed at a time for about a mile and a pilot car and flaggers will guide motorists through the work areas.
The work will take place between Calvary Church Road and Sloan Mill road.
BRIDGE WORK
More bridge work is planned on I-85 in northeast Georgia this weekend, this time at Mile Post 158 in Franklin County and Mile Post 150 in Banks County. One lane will be closed both northbound and southbound at each bridge between 9 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday.
