JEFFERSON - A break in the rainy weather Friday allowed Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) crews to put the finishing touches on the Jefferson Bypass.
Friday's work involved involved some final striping. The project was finished four months ahead of schedule.
"We are excited about getting the project open to traffic," said GDOT District Construction Engineer Russell McMurry. "There have been a couple of weather-related delays right here at the end of the project, but overall, this construction has gone extremely well."
