Barnes to attend lake meeting

OAKWOOD - Governor Barnes plans to attend Friday's town hall meeting on Lake Lanier at Gainesville College.

Co-hosted by 9th District Congressman Nathan Deal and the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, it will also feature the Army Under Secretary of Civil Works, Mike Parker, and several top Corps of Engineers officials from Washington.

Congressman Deal says "as you can conclude this group represents all levels of government and is responsible for every decision that impacts and will impact Lake Lanier for the next 30 years."

Deal says the future of Lanier and its economic impact on Gainesville adn Hall County will be the topic of discussion.

The meeting will be Friday at 2:00 in the Continuing Education Building at Gainesville College.
