Body found in north Hall County

GAINESVILLE - Hall County Detectives found the remains of human body in north Hall County Friday afternoon.

Jim Brewer of the Sheriff's Office says that when they received information that a missing woman's body was allegedly in the woods off Glade Farm Road they brought in cadaver dogs that did locate a body.

There is no word yet if the body is that of the un-named missing woman, who has been missing for a week, but she did live in a home nearby.

Brewer says an autopsy must first be completed and the body positively identified before the victim's name can be released.

"We don't really have an identification at this point. That is going to take fingerprinting and dental records to use to have an absolute identification."

Brewer says the autopsy could be performed as early as Saturday.
