GAINESVILE - Plans for a 285-lot subdivision on Hope Road are scheduled for consideration by the Gainesville City Council Tuesday.
The city planning and appeals board recommended approval of the project a few weeks ago over the objections of a number of people who live in the area.
However, the project does have its supporters, such as Broughton Cochran, who spoke at the planning meeting, saying Land Sellutions will be a wonderful addition to the Gainesville community.
"...their developments are immaculate," Cochran said.
William Horne, who spoke against the project, said "I remain very concerned there is not a secondary exit for this development."
The city council is scheduled to consider the request at 9:30 Tuesday morning.
