Newest 'Star Wars' movie arrives

GAINESVILLE - From Gainesville to St. Louis to Seattle - and at points in between - Star Wars fans burned the midnight oil Wednesday night to be among the first to see the latest episode in the Star Wars saga.

Hollywood Cinemas in Gainesville was among theatres nationwide with special showings at or shortly after midnight.

Wednesday night's special showing is expected to give way to packed houses at the multi-plex when it begins a multi-screen showing of the film this afternoon.

The theatre began selling advance tickets several days ago.
