ATLANTA - A north-south split is emerging among members of the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) as they prepare to vote this fall on the controversial Northern Arc.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, four ARC members, who would probably vote for the road, may recuse themselves because of possible conflicts of interest.
That would leave the remaining votes divided about evenly for and against the two and half billion dollar project.
The Northern Arc will be considered as part of the ARC's three-year transportation plan.
