GAINESVILLE - Red, white, and blue are expected to be the colors of choice at many Gainesville and Hall County schools Wednesday - the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
A number of schools are encouraging their students to dress in red, white, and blue that day, and are also planning special programs to mark the occasion
Johnson High, for instance, plans a special assembly at the school's football stadium. There will be music and a balloon release. But, out of environmental concerns, only a small number of balloons will be released. The ceremony will also feature a flag, designed by the math department, which will be painted on the field.
