GAINESVILLE - This year's Hall County Spelling Bee was won Tuesday by a seventh-grader from East Hall Middle School. <br>

Dezirae Archuleta, the daughter of David and Antoinette Archuleta, won by correctly spelling "conscience." Dezirae advances to the District Three competition March 1 at North Gwinnett High School. <br>

Runner-up was Thomas Roa, the son of Mark and Kris Roa, and an 8th-grader at West Hall Middle School.
