GAINESVILLE - Debra Harkrider of Marketplace and WDUN's Martha Zoller were named Business Women of the Year Wednesday by the Lake Lanier Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association.
Each acknowledged the support of her family as she accepted her award.
"You don't get to any kind of place of importance, I think, in life without the help of your family and your friends," Harkrider said.
Zoller noted the infuence of her mother on her life and reminded the mostly-female audience
that women everywhere are limited in the business world only by the limits they put on themselves.
"We're always juggling a number of things but...there is not a glass ceiling," Zoller said. "There's not a limitation except by the choices that we make."
The awards were presented at the association's fourth annual luncheon.
