Teams finally get to hit someone else

UNDATED - Several Gainesville and Hall County high school football teams will be involved in pre-season scrimmages Friday night.

Gainesville High will host Buford; North Hall will be at home against Forsyth Central; Johnson hosts Madison County; and West Hall is at home for a scrimmage with East Hall.

Chestatee High, a new school which fielded its first football team last year, will go against Meadowcreek in Norcross.

Flowery Branch, another school that opened last year, will scrimmage against Franklin County High School in Carnesville August 22.

The high school football season kicks off in Georgia Thursday August 28, but there are no local games until August 29.
