Former Hall teacher 'teacher of year' finalist

ATLANTA - A Barrow County school teacher who once taught in Hall County is one of ten finalists for state Teacher of the Year.

Ashley Burke now teaches at Holsenbeck Elementary.

She taught for 4-6 years in the Hall County School System before moving to the Barrow County school.

While in HallCounty, Burke taught at Myers elementary.

The winner of the state Teacher of the Year award will be announced in March.
