'Staffing & Progam Analysis' on Hall commission agenda

By by Ken Stanford
GAINESVILLE - The Hall County Board of Commissioners Tuesday is scheduled to hear from the Clerk of Courts and Court Administration on ways to reduce expenses.

It's part of a "staffing and program analysis" mandate handed down by the commission several months ago to all county departments in an effort to trim the pending budget.

Court Clerk Dwight Wood and Court Administrator Darthy Williams are scheduled to present their reports at the beginning of the county commission's regular work session, which is being held a day later this week because of the Martin Luther King Junior holiday.

Also on the agenda is a report from Hall County Parks & Leisure Services on the design concept plan and bidding for SPLOST IV community centers; a report from the county's Grants Management Department on the State Route 365 Corrridor Development Plan; and, an update from the County Administrator on the county impact fee program. Commissioners voted several weeks ago to implement an impact fee structure. By the way, Forsyth County, which began collecting impact fees two weeks ago, reports collecting nearly $100,000 in fees since then.
