Commerce man murdered

By by Ken Stanford
COMMERCE - A Commerce man has died of stab wounds suffered at his home Thursday night.

Commerce Police Chief John Gaissert says 22-year-old Roger P. Hanley was stabbed by 19-year-old Dennis A. Daniel of Maysville during an argument at Hanley's College Avenue home.

Gaissert says the motive for the stabbing is unclear although both men had been drinking - and investigators believe that played a part in the incident.

The stabbing occurred about 9:25 Thursday night.

Chief Gaissert says Daniel was arrested about 45 minutes later when he returned to the scene.
