Flowery Branch mayoral election may be held in March

FLOWERY BRANCH - Flowery Branch officials are shooting for March for their special mayoral election. <br> <br> The city council held first reading Monday night on a resolution calling for the election March 2, the same day as the countywide Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax referendum. <br> <br> The election is needed to fill the unexpired term of Gene Reed, who resigned as mayor last week, citing health reasons.
