GAINESVILLE - It hasn't even been before the planning commission, but Hall County officials are already planning for a big turnout when the county commission considers the North Hall Wal-Mart request.
County officials said Tuesday the commission is expected to hear the matter at its regular meeting on December 9.
In anticipation of a large turnout, the commission has rescheduled the meeting for 5:00 and relocated it to the ballroom at the Gainesville Civic Center.
Plans for the Wal-Mart SuperCenter at Dahlonega Highway and Southers Road are expected to go before the the county planning commission November 15.
Opposition to the plans have been building for several months in the North Hall area.
