CHICAGO - Aileen Perez, a sophomore from Norcross, Ga., and Daniella Rivera, a junior from Baton Rouge, La., two Brenau University Conflict Resolution and Legal Studies students, won top team at the first Annual Minority Undergraduate Mock Trial Competition held at John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Ill., October 1-2.
The two-day competition, designed to encourage and support the dreams of future lawyers, was not only a learning tool, but also a means of enhancing minority students' possibilities of enrolling in a law school curriculum by offering scholarships to the winners.
