GAINESVILLE - Cold weather returned to the Gainesville area just in time for Thanksgiving and the after-Thanksgiving sales after eleven days of unseasonably warm weather.
Temperatures plunged nearly 20 degrees in four hours early Thanksgiving Day, between 4:30-8:30, on the wings of brisk winds that sent wind chills below freezing.
Temperatures Friday morning hit the freezing mark for only the second time this season.
