Fired official's appeal still being heard

CUMMING - The civil service board hearing into the firing of a Forsyth County official is expected to continue at least through Thursday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Dane Perry, was fired from his job as Assistant County Administrator in September - but has appealed the action.

The interim county administrator fired him when questions arose about the propriety of his relationships with vendors who do business with the county.

The Forsyth County Civil Service Board began hearing testimony in the case Tuesday.
