ATLANTA - Forsyth, Hall and Gwinnett counties recorded three of the highest voter turnouts in the state in Tuesday's elections.
The turnout in Forsyth was 85%. It was 81% in both Hall and Gwinnett.
Meanwhile, the final numbers aren't in, but it appears Georgians set a turnout record for Tuesday's election. Secretary of State Cathy Cox had been predicting that 77% of the state's eligible voters would go to the polls. Cox's office said Wednesday more than 3 million Georgians voted, breaking the record set in 2000.
