NE Georgia roads fatality-free over holiday weekend

GAINESVILLE - There were nine traffic fatalities in Georiga over Christmas weekend but roads and highways in northeast Gerogia were fatality-free.

The state patrol in Gainesville said Monday morningthere were more than 1,300 accidents statewide during the county period with 409 injuries and the 9 fatalities.

In Northeast Georgia, 100 accidents were reported, with 21 injuries, and, again, no fatalities.

The counting period lasted from 6:00 Friday night until midnight Sunday.
