GAINESVILLE - Memorial services will be held Thursday for a man who was a fixture around the Hall County Courthouse for many years.
Jim Ash was Chief Bailiff for Hall County Superior Court Judge John Girardeau for 16 years until he retired last year.
When he joined Judge Girardeau's staff in 1987, Ash had just retired from a supervisory position with the Georgia Division of Rehabilitation Services in Gainesville.
Jim Ash, who was 84, died Tuesday. (See full obitutary elsewhere on this site.)
