GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville City Council holds its first nighttime regular meeting Tuesday after deciding last month to move one meeting a month to the evening for the rest of the year.
Councilwoman Ruth Bruner, the newest member of the board, proposed the night meetings on January 20 at her second meeting as a memberof the board.
The meetings will begin at 5:30 on the first Tuesday of each month at the Georgia Mountains Center, and the agenda for the first of these sessions contains no less than nine planning and zoning issues. In addition, there are four planning department public hearings on the agenda.
