GAINESILLE - Georgia's governor says he's not giving up on solving a water-sharing dispute with Alabama outside a courtroom, despite another setback over the weekend.
Governor Perdue commented Monday morning on WDUN'S Martha Zoller Show about the negotiations that continued over the weekend in the face of the latest deadline.
The governor says negotiators came close to an agreement but he was not willing the bend as much as Alabama wanted him to on the question.
At issue is water in Lake Lanier and several other Georgia waterways.
