GAINESVILLE - Water service will be interrupted on Green Street in Gainesville from Candler Street to Washington Street for about six hours Saturday - but Green is not the only street that will be affected.
City officials say parts of West Academy, Bradford, and Main Streets, as well as Brenau Avenue will be affected because of the tie-in to the existing water main. This, officials say, is necessary to complete the installation of the new water main on Brenau Avenue.
Water customers in the affected areas are urged to take the necessary precautions to prevent damage to any equipment that requires water.
The work is scheduled to begin about 6:00 a.m. and be over with around noon.
