ATLANTA - When State Schools Superintendent Kathy Cox resumes her "border tour" of the state, schools in Banks and Franklin counties will be among the first ones she'll visit.
Border Tour 2005 is a continuation of Cox's visits to school systems along the Georgia borders which she has not previously visited.
Cox will begin the day Wednesday with a tour of three schools in Franklin County before moving on to three schools in Banks County in the afternoon.
The schedule is as follows (as provided by Cox's office):
8:30am Franklin County High School Fine Arts Center
Reception to be followed by tour of school and meeting with student leaders
9:45am Franklin County Middle School
Tour school and visit technology classroom
10:45am Royston Elementary School
Tour of school and visit Reading First classroom
12:45pm Banks County High School
Math classroom visits
1:30pm Banks County Middle School
Science and math classroom visits
2:30pm Banks County Upper Elementary School (Located at Banks County Middle)
