Fees for Lanier boat docks going up

WASHINGTON - The cost for a boat dock and other facilities on Lake Lanier is going up.

According to a posting on an Army Corps of Engineers Web site, the cost of a new permit or permit for a new owner of an old facility will be $400. The re-issue of a permit to the same owner of an existing facility will be $175.

The new fees will be for a five-year term, according to the posting. Fourteen fee schedules are listed in all.
