Southern Catholic College appoints new board member

DAWSONVILLE - Southern Catholic College has announced the appointment of John H. Crilly, a well-known Atlanta area entrepreneur, to the Board of Trustees, expanding the board to 17 members.

Crilly is founder and vice chairman of Solarcom Holdings, Inc., a Norcross, Ga.-based consulting and systems integration firm. He also has served on the Finance Board for the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

"We are very excited to add such an accomplished entrepreneur from the Atlanta community to our Board," said Jeremiah J. Ashcroft, Ph.D., president of Southern Catholic College. "John's valuable expertise will make significant contributions to the college and its future success."

"I am honored to be a part of such an esteemed Board and actively participate in the College's future success," said Crilly. "I strongly believe in the College's vision to promote well-rounded students, both spiritually and academically. I look forward to helping guide the College through its fledgling years and position it for a successful future."

Crilly holds a bachelor's from the University of Nebraska. He also is a founding member of Mary Our Queen Catholic church in the Atlanta area. Mr. Crilly and Carolyn, his wife, reside in Big Canoe, Ga. and are members of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church.
