SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - A Marine from Hall County has been released from an Army hospital where he had been undergoing treatment for wounds suffered in Iraq.
A hospital spokeswoman says Lance Corporal Matt Turner was released Monday.
A fellow Georgia Marine, injured in the same incident, David Payton of Powder Springs, was released last week.
Turner and Payton suffered similar injuries when they inhaled chemical fumes resulting from an explosion that occurred during an attack on their unit.
Both had been hospitalized at Brooke Army Medical Center in Texas.
