Boys & Girls Club Weeks kicks off in Gainesville with HIV presentation

GAINESVILLE - The Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County will kick off National Boys & Girls Club Week today with a presentation by an HIV specialist. The Aids Awareness program will include a segment on "Good Touch, Bad Touch." <br>

Also emphasized during the week will be Education, the arts, character and leadership, and sports and physical fitness.<br>
<br>
· Tuesday - Education and Career Development Day will be highlighted by a Career Fair and Youth Education Awareness. Local agencies such as the police and fire departments will have representatives. There will also be an organization wide Spelling Bee<br>
<br>
· Wednesday - Arts Development Day will emphasize Art Fun around the Club and the Gainesville Theater Alliance will work with the youth<br>
<br>
· Thursday - Character and Leadership Development Day will include a Boys & Girls Clubs American Idol contest and the Youth of the Year will speak to Club members<br>
<br>
· Friday - Sports, Fitness and Recreation Day will highlight Club Wide Olympics, Staff verses Club member Basketball, Softball tournament and Club cookout.<br>
